Overview of 2023 Tour

In addition to attending the Festival and meeting members of the irmandade, you will explore Salvador’s cultural history when you visit  museums and historic churches as part of a tour of the old city. You will experience live music and dance, participate in workshops, and lectures You will enjoy many inspirational encounters with cultural workers and traditional leaders. These activities enliven your daily travel, providing intimate encounters with contemporary Afro-Brazilian culture and traditions.

 

Package includes: Round trip Air fare from New York or Miami to Salvador, Bahia. Round-trip airport/hotel transfer in Salvador ~ air conditioned tour van and taxis ~  hotel accommodations with breakfast ~ selected meals in outstanding restaurants ~ historic city tour ~ museum tours ~ daily briefings ~ countryside day trips ~ cultural workshops ~ beach days ~ shopping ~ experience samba reggae rhythms in the historic district at night  ~ music and dance events, lectures with cultural leaders and artists ~ visit a candomblé community ~ festival in Cachoeira, and more.
